Hi Chris,
I’m not sure if I ever gave you an update on this…it’s actually an incredible story on how we were reunited. About two months after I sent this email to you in April, 2005, I still hadn’t contacted my BMom…just by “coincidence” I was contacted by The Alma Society, who found my info on Adoption Registry…it had been up there for 10 years hence the quotes around coincidence…everything happens for a reason. What are the chances of this happening after so long, and me having sat on my BMom information for so long without contacting her. So, in the end, they facilitated the phone meeting, which eventually led to a reunion in October of 2007. It’s not a fairy-tale ending…I don’t have a strong desire to keep in contact, but I do contact my BMom once a year with an update. She’d like to be closer but it’s not in the cards (at this stage at least). So there you have the conclusion to your work with me, 3 years after the fact!!
I’m not just writing to give you an update…I have more work for you if you’re interested. First, I was wondering how much it would cost to find out about my Birth Father. My BMom gave me info about him but it’s suspect…I don’t even want to tell you the story she told me about how I was conceived…(although I likely WILL have to tell you). Anyway, I don’t completely believe my BMom so…anyway…you’d have very very little to go on, I’m wondering if this is even possible.
Secondly, I grew up with two adopted sisters. They’ve never had the means to find their BParents and, between us, I believe this has held them back a bit in life. I felt that way myself…something opened up in me after finding my BMom. I was married and had a child in this past year; I think that directly relates to my healing process with being adopted. So…I wanted to know how much it would cost to get their information as well. They were also adopted through Catholic Home Bureau/Catholic Charities). I’ll obviously get you the exact info if we go forward.
Thanks Chris...I hope you’re doing well.
Best,

Hi, ok, here it is :
I found Kinsolving over ten years ago; I hovered for a very long time before I finally decided to take the plunge. I even sent a friend and Kinsolving successfully reunited him with a brother separated at birth. When I finally engaged Kinsolving myself, my case was not easy…the original records of my adoption were lost and I was told it might take months or up to a year to get a response. I was pleasantly surprised by an email less than two weeks later with more information than I could have imagined. I was finally reunited with my Birth Mother after a long journey of 35 years. I am now looking to use Kinsolving again to help with further searches for my sisters and with finding my Birth Father.
I can definitely say that my reunion helped me move on with my life. If you’re searching for a reputable company to help you begin your process of healing, look no further.
